Was downtown today…

I was downtown today and wandered into the Hilton. I never felt the need before but I have to say the interior is very nice. I might have to check out the cocktail bar one of these days.

I added a bunch of new items to my Etsy Vintage shop – Roadside Vintage Hut & Seakitten Fry. I’m working diligently on emptying my closets so we can get ready for our move to NYC. Tomorrow I’ll work on putting my fanny packs in the Re-Couture Etsy Shop.

As busy as a bee…

As always, I’m working on a bunch of new things. I had this plaid pleated skirt made of several different fabrics. I can’t decide whether to make it a top or dress??? What a game!

The Superbowl actually turned out to be a great game. Everyone thought the Colts would take it by at least 5 but I’m happy the Saints persevered. I always root for the underdog. We were invited to watch the Superbowl at our friends Gary and Melody’s Place. As the evening wore on Mike decide 11 tequila shots would be a good idea. By the end of the night he tried to spoon our host. Sorry Gary.

Needless to say yesterday was a little rough for Mike. We decided to try the Mexican seafood restaurant on Nolensville. We walked in and it was all gringos. That never bodes well. There was an entree described as “Shrimp and Octopus in a cored Pineapple with cream sauce covered in cheese.” The description made me a little sick. We had the ceviche which was surprisingly good. The tacos were bland, filled with tasteless meat and the tamale was just OK. I miss El Manjar.

Last night we went to the Oak Bar to have our usual Monday Night Martini with Deb, which was delish, and when we came out it was snowing!!! WTF!!! Who knew. Nobody tells me anything.
